Fujairah witnesses exceptional tourism activity during Eid

Fujairah Department of Tourism and Antiquities confirmed that hotels and beach resorts in the emirate recorded high occupancy rates, approaching full capacity, during the Eid Al-Adha holiday. Fujairah witnessed active tourism and an increasing turnout of visitors from within and outside the country, in an indicator that reflects the growing status of the emirate as a preferred tourist destination, supported by the development of its infrastructure and the diversity of its hotel, entertainment and natural facilities.

The department added that this increasing demand reflects the growing confidence in Fujairah as a safe and integrated tourist destination throughout the year, benefiting from its unique natural features, where the extended mountain ranges meet the coasts overlooking the Sea of ​​Oman, providing an integrated tourist experience that combines the beauty of nature with the diversity of marine, mountain and recreational activities. It explained that the diversity of the tourism product that combines archaeological and heritage sites, modern destinations, beaches and mountains, has contributed to enhancing the attractiveness of the emirate and attracting more visitors.

Shopping centers, tourist and entertainment destinations in various parts of the emirate witnessed a remarkable movement of citizens, residents and tourists, who were keen to spend the Eid holiday in Fujairah to enjoy the festive atmosphere and accompanying events, in light of the availability of integrated tourism services and modern infrastructure that meet the aspirations of various segments of visitors.

The department indicated that the tourism activity witnessed by the emirate during the Eid holiday contributes to consolidating Fujairah’s presence on the regional tourism map, and directly supports the ongoing efforts to develop the tourism sector as one of the vital tributaries supporting sustainable economic development in the emirate.
