UAQ Ruler briefed about current, future plans of Ministry of Economy
H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, was briefed about the current and future plans of the Ministry of Economy.
Sheikh Saud was briefed about the ministry’s plans during a meeting with Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain.
Sheikh Saud was briefed about the “three-dimensional strategy” for the Emirate of Umm Al Qaiwain, which involves developing a sustainable blue economic model in the UAE, most notably in sustainable fisheries, blue carbon refineries and its collection, and sea transport.
Al Marri also presented a plan to promote environmental tourism, by implementing related projects that will support the emirate’s economy and are aligned with national priorities, including the emirate’s maritime market and water forest.
He then presented several urban development plans aiming to link diverse regions and redevelop a new city centre.
The Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain commended the ministry’s plans and strategies.
